Tuesday, July 08, 2008 Finally, I get to stay home tonight, have some home-cooked food, watch some tv and sleep early. Since there's nothing else I can think of that i wanna do, i decided to blog. Been a hectic week as usual. Sometimes I wonder how and why i make myself so busy but oh well. Met up with my sec school friends- Agnessa!! It has been a while! Met her at the mall by chance. 6 (almost 7!!) years and we're still going strong. You guys rock man. (Dan. Toh where are u!!!) I actually have many more pictures but aurelia forbids me from posting them here. Haha i shall keep those unglam shots for my personal amusement =P And then i spied on the first Tapestry practice, and it reminded me of those days... Tapestry 2006: THE RAPTURED!!! (sorry i can't find a proper grp pic...missing: Matt!!)
Tapestry was a time I was stretched, physically, technically and all. But it's also a time when bonds were forged, and lasting memories formed. To those who were a part of it. Thank you for being a part of such a wonderful memory. And to THE RADICALS: Go ahead and make history =) Them putting God first above all else- Practising hard... (The girls' song rock!) While asriel slacks at the sound area...Nah just kidding. He's the lead and doing very well!! Shall advertise here: TAPESTRY is on 16 or 17 August Venue to be confirmed. (But it's somewhere in town!) Our beloved band will having their auditions on 19 July. Please be in prayer for God's favour to be upon them!!! And i went with Elaine to Sentosa to check the place out for some activity i'm not supposed to elaborate on. It was so crazily hot my goodness. And we spotted a NUS camp having an activity there, and we stood there for about 30 mins, trying to steal some ideas, but to no avail. And I thank God we had 4 new friends with us during our Friday Young Adult cell. And one of them even asked his bringer after the cell how he could go about accepting Christ. Revival's coming people! Exciting times indeed!! I realise that I'm getting involved in so many things. Some I enthusiastically volunteer for, often on the spur of the moment, others, I just can't say NO to. It's always a joy to serve, but in those moments of fatigue, both spiritual and physical, the weight of all these responsibilities just seem to hold you down...But I thank God for the two books I've been spending my free time this week reading. I told God last Sunday that I was going to spend more time with Him, especially this last month before school starts. And God has a sense of humour. He knew that my make-up forbids me from facing the Bible for too long at any one time, since I get bored pretty easily. And one string on my guitar is broken, so strumming on the guitar doing worship is out of the question too. On that very Sunday, 2 people (of the same name!!) just randomly passed me books. And you know, when pple lend you books you feel extremely obliged to read thru' quickly and return it? But I tell you I was richly blessed by them. "Rachel's Tears" Anyone remember this video shown on one of our services probably 3-4 years ago? I merely recall it as a video that was touching, but when I read her story this time round, the experience was entirely different. She was 17 (if my memory doesn't fail me..) when she died. She was not perfect, but she emerged victorious. She dared to be different. She dared to stand up for what she believed in. Rachel Scott wrote her own life story. What's my story going to be? What's yours going to be? "I kissed Dating Goodbye" Interesting book. Go to marcus if you wanna read haha. That's all folks. Thanks for surviving thru' yet another post of zero substance and pure crapping hah. Besides msn, blogging is the shallowest (most shallow?) form of communication. Don't you agree? applegem at 7:31 PM
