Why do we love?

I should be at orientation but here I am blogging and chatting online with *ahem* a fellow OG2 mate. haha marcus is so gonna nag when he sees this. hah just kidding just kidding...

FOP weekend!!!

The queue on Sat was crazy...

And the stadium packed full...(and thanks guys for the doughnuts!!!)

But the word was so good. Pastor Mark Conner spoke about 'Growing up or growing old?' He pointed out how almost everything in life cannot be controlled, but the one thing we can control is ourselves. Our mind, our will and our body. The examples he raised, for instance how we allow negativity to enter our minds, really hit the congregation hard, judging from the silence in the audience. But amidst the moments of seriousness were bouts of laughters. That pastor can realy tell jokes too!! I returned on Sunday again cause I wanted to listen to his preaching...

It was so much less crowded on sunday, and the sermon was awesome as usual. The question the preacher threw to us was "If you had three months to live, would you still live your lives the way you're living now? Which aspects of your life would you change since you're now living in the light of eternity?" That really set me thinking, the habits I have to change, the friends and family members yet to be saved, the worldly ambitions...gosh the list goes on.

And Day One of orientation. We had to attend 2 ceremonies. Only the law students turned up in black and white for the ceremony at kent ridge, it was a sight man.

And back at BTC we gave our 2 OGLs their long-due presents!!

And i went off to meet my vcf friends in the night. Too bad night cycling was cancelled at the last moment...but we played Citadels at Macs and it's so fun!

And a Vcf group outing isn't complete without the spiritual aspect haha. We had a time of worship and sharing at west coast park. We sat there and shared about our lives, our fears and hopes for the future and we supported each other in prayer. It's always so safe and secure to be among these brothers and sisters. I really thank God for them.

Following which we had supper at the Cheese Prata place near the kent ridge campus. I do think the prata is overrated haha...

And we headed off to PGP's TV room to play Munchkins overnight!! But our 2 OGLs kept sleeping...haha the other 3 of us survived and continued playing. The reason we three are so awake is because we drank Teh-tarik!! Lol. Yu xuan drank Lime juice (like who on earth drinks lime juice at 3 am?!) and kah yoke drank milo, know we know hah. These two made our gathering a slumber party literally haha. Sab and her nonsense =P

A parting shot. All the small eyes due to a lack of sleep..and i wore my contacts for 29 hours!! Woo hoo!!

It was a crazy night man. 'High on fatigue' ...does that make sense? haha. And we FINALLY forced out yu xuan's secret. Sabrina and I are such fantastic law students wahahah =P

And goodbye to my Ah Lian hair!!!!! It's now black, as in really really black haha. Oh well...Not that i really miss this colour. I was just waiting for 2 months to past before I dye a new colour. This is waaaayyy too bright.

Had our final Black White Camp mtg last night. Our original plans catered to about 24 campers, and now we have twice the number!!!!!! Thank God, but that means much more planning! It's gonna be a crazy night and for you blur ones out there..in case you still aren't sure....
